Walking Together in the Marketplace

At Parable Trust, we believe that business is not intended to be walked alone.

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

(Amos 3:3)

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

(Psalm 133:1)

Our approach is relational rather than transactional.

We seek to walk alongside Christian business leaders and entrepreneurs who desire to honour God in the marketplace, encouraging one another, sharing wisdom, praying together, and supporting Kingdom businesses in practical ways.

The level of involvement may vary greatly, from simply staying connected through to deep strategic partnership over many years.

Prayer and Fellowship

At the heart of Parable Trust is prayer. We host a regular monthly Parable Prayers online gathering for Christian business leaders which is open to all who wish to attend. Sign up to our newsletter for more information.

Throughout the year, Parable Trust hosts gatherings and events that bring together Christian business leaders for teaching, fellowship, encouragement, and relationship building.

Sowers and Reapers Day

A day of teaching, fellowship, testimony, discussion, and encouragement focused on the practical outworking of Christian faith in the marketplace.

The event brings together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and believers from a wide range of backgrounds who share a desire to honour God through business and everyday work.

Monthly Prayer Meetings

Regular opportunities to get together to meet, pray and discuss.

Individual Advice, Support and Prayer

Members of the Parable Trust team are available, where appropriate, to provide individual support, mentoring, practical advice, and prayer. This may include:

  • Business strategy
  • Leadership challenges
  • Organisational development
  • Personal encouragement and support
  • Prayer during difficult situations or decision making

Our approach is based on relationship and discernment rather than formal consultancy. We seek first to apply biblical wisdom, practical experience, and prayer to real business situations.

Walking Together

In some situations, relationships develop into a much deeper level of partnership and involvement.

This journey may begin very simply, perhaps through attending events, joining our mailing list, or informal conversations over time.

As trust and alignment grow, Parable Trust may become more actively involved in supporting a Kingdom business.

This can include:

  • Ongoing mentoring and strategic support
  • Regular prayer and relationship
  • Financial grants or investment
  • One of our representatives joining the board of the organisation being supported

We believe this type of relationship should be built carefully, prayerfully, and over time. Our desire is not control or ownership, but to help strengthen businesses that can honour God, create employment, support families, and contribute to Kingdom purposes.

We recognise that this level of relationship is not appropriate for every business or every situation. Parable Trust does not seek to impose deeper involvement or partnership. Any decision to walk together more closely must be desired by both parties and approached prayerfully, with a shared belief that God is leading the relationship. We believe these relationships should develop naturally over time through trust, alignment, prayer, and mutual conviction.
